Environmental awareness. We speculate and point fingers, listen and propose, challenge and fail.
How did we allow ourselves to fall lower than the trees we chop off in our rainforests? How do we allow ourselves to be suffocated in a bubble that protects our oxygen. How do we allow ourselves to eat plastic we discard off in our oceans?
I adage that we do not inherit the earth from our parents - we borrow it from our children.
Our ignorance, arrogance, and indifferences blind us to the reality of all that has been lost. It persuades us to believe that we still have so much left to destroy.
Fragile portrays the strong, determined growth of a tree in a fragile eggshell with little hands easily supporting its weight. With the making of this artwork, I strive to evoke individuals to choose compassion towards our future generations through environmental conservation, despite our best efforts to turn our beautiful and bountiful earth into a wasteland.
Our future is your choice. So I dare ask - will you show compassion to your children’s clean-air-dreams and make it a reality?
