Woodless charcoal in powder form, creates a deep black background for my background and serve as the base shading for the detailing with my electric erasers.

My erasers are the most important tools in my process. I use them to take away layers of charcoal to create detail. It is a strange process, but it works like a charm.
Fixing with fixative
Fixing my work after completing a drawing is one of my favourite moments of being an artist. The fixative is absorbed by the art and the paper and creates a smooth, soft finish, ready to be framed.
