The familiar French word, faire, is used on a day-to-day basis by many in most types of tenses and moods and idiomatic expressions. It means “to do” or “to make”.
Including to love someone.
Building on Touch, another artwork inspired by the soft touch between two different people’s hands, I continue to draw another hand portrait that portrays the magnificence of a single touch.
Drawing Faire, I explored the beautiful remembrance of what it feels like to be loved - keeping its title true to its meaning. I dive into the truth of “water remembers”, and challenge the viewer to look at the simplicity of touching the hand of someone you love and choosing to love them. I strive to show the importance of choosing and loving them in spite of life's challenges, and to make every moment count because you only have so much time before the memory drips away.
To love is one of the most beautiful things to do. So if you haven’t experienced love today, I am here to tell you that we all love you.
