Why are we afraid to make bad choices?

Our childhood memories can be hazy, but many involve adults offering seemingly valid justifications such - “you will understand one day” or “I am doing this because I love you”.  However, as we grow older, we quickly realise the truth behind these explanations.

The choices you make carry consequences throughout generations.

Effectus draws inspiration from the captivating and intricate truth of the butterfly effect.  Throughout our lives, we are shaped by an abundance of choices, and the present moment is a culmination of those choices, regardless of whether we were the ones making them.

Growing up, many of us are fortunate to receive guidance and support from our parents.  This guidance and support is referred to as parenting, and it is the responsibility of our parents to act as facilitators in the shaping of our future.

In Effectus, the butterfly is a representation of the choices we make, which have the power to shape our future.  The father’s hand reaches out a choice, guiding the child toward the same objective. In reaching for it, the father fulfils his duty as a guiding force in shaping his daughter’s future and realising his aspiration of being a nurturing parent.  Likewise, his daughter achieves her dream of making wise decisions.
